Looking for a dose of profit-boosting ideas before the holidays kick into high gear? SAF is bringing its popular 1-Day Profit Blast to two markets this fall: Denver, on October 23, and Columbus, Ohio, on Nov. 6.

Nearly 70 industry members from 17 states and Canada gathered for the most recent 1-Day Profit Blast, held in Cincinnati in April, which prompted Denver Wholesale Florist, which helped underwrite the Cincinnati event, to partner with SAF to bring the event to Denver. Bill Doran Company, which has underwritten two SAF Profit Blasts (in Des Moines and Austin), recently signed on to help bring SAF’s event to Columbus, Ohio.

“I was so excited when I left ,” said Helene Taylor-Elam of Forever Flowers and Designs in East Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, who attended the Cincinnati event. “I can go back to my shop and create my own strategy for the business, updating my website, capturing more wedding and hotel business. The energy in the room was awesome.” Read more.

In Denver and Columbus, , attendees will dig into strategies for ensuring successful events, discovering hidden profits in the business, making their customer service more effective and leveraging their web and social media presence to generate more sales.

“We feature some of the best speakers on the topics florists tell us are most important to them: the ones that ultimately impact their bottom line,” said Kate Penn, SAF’s chief content and publishing officer.

During 30-minute breaks between programming as well as a lunch, sponsored by Hortica Insurance and Employee Benefits, attendees can visit with each other and the vendors in the Supplier Showcase.

Jan Taylor of Malone Flower Shop in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, attended in Cincinnati and said she’d “gladly recommend Profit Blast to anyone. I’ve been in the business 40 years, and I still learned a lot.”

“We’ve been in business four months, and this conference was exactly what my partner and I needed to get started on the right path,” said Brittany Byrd of Homegrown Floral Gifts in Loveland, Ohio.
