Anyone who’s attended a floral industry seminar – whether a hands-on design session or a social media workshop – knows the power of a great speaker and educator. The Society of American Florists recognizes both with the Tommy Bright Award and the Professional Floral Communicators-International (PFCI) certification.
Professional Floral Communicators-International Certification
PFCI is the service mark of the floral industry’s finest floral educators. Each member of the organization has proven, through their education and experience, their ability to speak authoritatively about topics pertinent to the floral industry. Do you love talking about flowers and presenting programs for garden clubs or industry groups? Then you’re already halfway to earning the PFCI designation. The only thing left to do: Fill out an application.
Presented in honor of Ethel “Tommy” Bright, PFCI’s most prestigious award signifies a lifetime achievement in floral presentation. The Tommy Bright Award is awarded annually to a member of PFCI. Click here for more information about nominating a PFCI member for the award.
The deadline to apply for PFCI certification and submit nominations for the Tommy Bright Award is March 1, 2022. PFCI inductees and the winner of the Tommy Bright Award — as well as the winners of several other SAF awards — will be honored during the Stars of the Industry Awards Dinner at SAF Orlando 2022, the association’s 137th Annual Convention, Sept. 6-8 in Orlando, Florida. Use the recognition to enhance your professional reputation — and the reputation of your business!
SAF is also accepting applications for several other prestigious awards and certifications that honor excellence in research, community service, perseverance, as well as those who’ve made a lasting imprint on the floral industry. Submit an application or nomination for SAF’s other industry awards and designations by May 2, 2022:
