4 Ways to Drive Sales for International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is March 8 and this year the theme is #EmbraceEquity, focusing on raising awareness about discrimination and taking action to push for gender equity. The Society of American Florists has several resources to help remind your customers to use flowers to celebrate the women in their lives ­— especially those working to create a world that is more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

SAF’s Women’s Day Resources include:

  • Social media graphics. SAF has created Women’s Day social media graphics to help you promote the holiday. Mix and match these graphics on your social media channels leading up to March 8 with suggested captions and tweets.
  • Customizable press release. Getting in front of the media is a great way to let the community know that your shop will be celebrating Women’s Day. A press release is an excellent way to gain media attention and contains important information to help reporters tell your story. SAF has created a customizable press release for you to use.
  • Radio scripts. Another way to spread the word about Women’s Day is to create a commercial to play on local radio stations. SAF has customizable radio scripts that focus on the important women in your customer’s lives including best friendsmoms and spouses.
  • Promotional materials. There is no better way to get your customers thinking about Women’s Day than to advertise the holiday in your shop! Download and print counter cards and posters to display.
