Five Minutes With Ellie LaFever on Leadership Superpowers

by | Jun 15, 2022 | Events, Events & Education, Floral Industry News | 0 comments

Editor’s note: In this new SAF NOW video series, managing editor Amanda Jedlinsky talks with floral professionals from all segments about topics of interest to the industry. The videos are designed to be quick and informal — a fun way to learn about what’s happening across the industry and what’s on the mind of your peers.

Recognizing your own leadership strengths — and tapping into the strengths of others — is akin to having a superpower, says Ellie LaFever of Flower Clique, a floral consulting and marketing company. “That superpower is really self-awareness and awareness of how others think and how they work,” she says. “We want to empower people. We don’t want to limit them.”

LaFever, with her colleague Lori Wilson, will talk about leadership styles at the Society of American Florists’ Next Gen LIVE! event July 31-Aug. 2 in Miami, Florida. In this short video she talks about four leadership styles and how recognizing and leveraging them creates new opportunities.

Amanda Jedlinsky is the managing editor of SAF NOW.
