Is your business among the 578 floral businesses that participated in the Society of American Florists’ goodwill initiative, Petal It Forward, today? Though Petal It Forward is over, the good vibes generated during the event can still have an impact with some additional outreach to the media and on social media.
- Continue to reach out to your local newspaper, television news stations and radio stations. Let them know about your successful Petal It Forward event. Be sure to share photos and stories from the event to grab their attention. Not sure how to contact media outlets? SAF has tips for contacting the media and a customizable press release.
- Search social media platforms for pictures and posts of your event and reshare them to your social media accounts. On Instagram, create a story highlight of the event so those posts and your photos have a home on your account until next year’s Petal It Forward. On your Facebook account, create a photo album and make sure to include captions explaining the event.
