Every florist can be an influencer on social media. That’s the advice Valerie Crisostomo, an Atlanta-based florist, content creator and founder of Black Girl Florists, shared in the September/October issue of Floral Management.
Crisostomo believes that by sharing their expertise, florists can build relationships and reach a wider audience. Here are some of her tips to cultivate an influencer mindset on social media.
- Build relationships. Connect with farmers, wholesalers, and other florists regularly. Share your work and expertise, and be open to learning from others.
- Teach your talent. Share tips and tutorials on floral design, arrangement, and other related topics. Your followers will appreciate your insights and expertise.
- Show details. Take behind-the-scenes photos and videos of your work. Show your followers how you create your designs and what goes into them.
- Seek out partnerships. Partner with brands that your customers are drawn to. This can help you reach a new audience and promote your business.
