Baisch and Skinner Inc., St, Louis, Missouri, has become the newest member of International Floral Distributors Inc (IFD).
Baisch and Skinner is headquartered in St. Louis where the company was established in 1952 by Art Baisch and Roy Skinner in the historic St. Louis Flower Market. Today, Baisch and Skinner operates seven locations serving Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma retailers.
“Adding a major distributor of the quality of Baisch and Skinner, Inc to IFD significantly expands IFD’s distribution area,” stated Eric Levy, president of IFD and Hillcrest Garden, “IFD now has nearly 60 locations servicing retailers with floral products in more markets than ever before.”
Baisch and Skinner Inc is a full-service, family-owned wholesale floral distributor led by brothers John and Bob Baisch, Steve Frye and Craig Steffens. It’s still located in the St. Louis Flower Market but has expanded from its humble beginnings as a 3,700-square-foot storefront.
In 2007, Baisch and Skinner acquired Stuppy Wholesale, adding locations in Kansas City, Springfield, Topeka and Wichita. Additional locations in Quincy, Illinois, and Cape Girardeau, Missouri, round out the seven locations of Baisch and Skinner today. The company provides cut flowers, floral supplies and plants to retailers throughout the region.
