Who taught you everything you know about flowers and floral design? Who do you revere most as a floral educator? Who in the industry inspires you and others?
Each year, Professional Floral Communicators – International (PFCI) recognizes one of its own with the Tommy Bright Award for lifetime achievement in floral presentation. It is named after Ethel “Tommy” Bright, whose motto “Learn More, Teach Others” reflects PFCI values as the floral industry’s speakers bureau and the only network of professional floral business educators certified by the Society of American Florists.
Jan. 27 is the deadline for submitting Tommy Bright Award nominations, and it is also the deadline for floral speakers to submit their application for PFCI membership. Need an extension? Contact SAF’s Jenny Scala at pfci@safnow.org.
PFCI will bestow the 2017 Tommy Bright Award and honor its new members at the Stars of the Industry Awards Dinner at SAF Palm Beach 2017, SAF’s 133rd Annual Convention, Sept. 6-9 at The Breakers in Florida.
March 1 is the deadline to apply for the American Academy of Floriculture (AAF) submit nominations for other SAF awards. June 2 is the deadline to apply for Floral Management’s Marketer of the Year Award.
