Members of the Society of American Florists elected three new members to the association’s Board of Directors, as well as nine members to positions on the association’s Retailers, Wholesalers and Growers Councils.
“SAF relies on these industry leaders to provide insight and advice for everything the association does, from developing events and content to addressing industry challenges,” says SAF CEO Kate Penn. “We are thankful for their dedication and service and look forward to working with these new board and council members.”
SAF members voted in July by electronic ballot for new leaders to voluntarily serve on SAF’s board and councils. The new board members represent each segment of the industry. Their three-year terms begin in October.

Council winners also serve three-year terms, which begin in January. Each segment council member is appointed to one of SAF’s taskforces — Career Development, Connections, Future and Sustainability — which meet twice a year.
