Last Friday, SAF members took to the links in support of the Society of American Florists political and legislative activities during the 26th Annual Golf Tournament in conjunction with the SAF Annual Convention.
The tournament was held on a desert oasis of championship golf at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, California.
The co-chairs of this year’s tournament, Chris Drummond from Plaza Flowers in Norristown, Pa., Juan David Lecuona from Deliflor, and Mike Mooney of Dramm and Echter, noted that the “SAF member support of this tournament is critically important. Participation ensures that SAF’s government relations department has the resources needed to fight for the floral industry every day on Capitol Hill.”
The co-chairs also recognized the vital role played by the sponsors. They explained that the generosity and support of the sponsors meant 100 percent of the player registration fees go directly into supporting SAF’s advocacy efforts on key floral industry issues.
