Online reviews of businesses and products are the new word-of-mouth, making them paramount to capturing business.
“Yet many florists still struggle to collect online reviews, which consumer studies show are key in people’s decision to make purchases online,” Art Conforti, PFCI, of the marketing agency Bloomerang Solutions in Sarasota, Florida, writes in the May/June issue of Floral Management.
But now collecting reviews is easier thanks to Google review tap cards.
One-Tap Tech
Utilizing NFC (near field communication) technology, these tap cards allow customers to easily leave reviews by tapping their phones to the card. Placed strategically at points of customer interaction, such as the cash register or on a lanyard worn by delivery drivers, these cards have the ability to capture customers’ immediate impressions and enhance the likelihood of positive reviews.
Easy Set Up
To get started, florists need a Google Business Profile and the tap cards, which can be customized with the business logo for brand recall. Programming the NFC chip with a URL directs customers to the review page, boosting SEO rankings and making the business more visible to potential customers.
Proven Results
Florists, like Ed Moore Florist in Denver, attest to the effectiveness of tap cards in increasing reviews and improving business visibility. The Denver florist placed the tap card next to its register and immediately saw an increase in positive reviews, Conforti says.
