In a series of three courses for the Society of American Florists, human resources expert Glenna Hecht explains how to hire smarter to build the team your business needs and successfully onboard new employees for a better retention rate.
The first course, “Workforce Planning and Attracting Talent,” Hecht, of Humanistic Consulting, guides viewers through identifying the skills and qualities your workforce needs. It also covers how to develop the framework for job descriptions.
In the second course, “Interviewing and Hiring Talent” Hecht walks employers through the interviewing and hiring process and discusses the most common interview mistakes and best practices, types of interviews and questions, and how to make a hiring decision.
In the third course, “Orientation and Onboarding,” Hecht shares tips to develop a strategic approach to onboarding, including which materials and resources to have prepared for new hires and advice on how to structure an employee’s first 30 days.
