For a wholesaler in Pennsylvania, new van decal graphics from the Society of American Florists and the Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association proved just the ticket for a summer refresh.
SAF member Katy Miller, AAF, vice president of Dillon Floral Corp. in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, recently shared pictures of the sharp new looks. Each decal features a beautiful floral arrangement paired with a clever headline, designed to keep local florists top of mind. Each design is available for free download for SAF and WF&FSA members.
The van decals were the brainchild of Miller, who wanted to find a way for wholesalers to use their vehicles as a marketing tool to help local florists.
“At Dillon Floral, we want to make the best use of our van as moving billboards,” Miller said. “Like many wholesalers, our fleet does not need to advertise our business, as we do not sell to the public. We need to advertise to consumers to help our florist customers — they are the folks who keep us in business every day. If retailers are healthy, wholesalers like us are healthy.”
Miller turned to the marketing teams at SAF and WF&FSA to turn her idea into a reality. That collaboration quickly resulted in the headlines, which were then paired with SAF’s floral design photography, repurposed from posters and direct mail materials.
“The collaborative effort on the headlines, and the use of SAF’s existing photography and design services, made the graphics a fast and easy process to offer wholesalers top quality, professional artwork to turn their vans into attention-grabbing promotional vehicles,” said Jennifer Sparks, SAF vice president of marketing.
