After Shooting, TSFA Helps Organize Volunteer Designers for Small Texas Town

Florists interested in serving as volunteer designers alongside local florists in Sutherland Springs should contact TSFA at (512) 834-0361.

After the worst mass shooting in Texas state history, the Texas State Florists’ Association is organizing an effort to offer support and comfort for family, friends and neighbors of the victims. The first funerals are expected this weekend.

“Local florists need volunteer designers, as loved ones express the powerful emotions through flowers to the grieving community of Sutherland Springs,” according to TSFA Executive Director Dianna Nordman, AAF. “Please call TSFA to offer your help: (512) 834-0361.”

On Nov. 5, a gunman killed 26 people and injured 20 at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, about 30 miles east of the city of San Antonio. Look for additional information in next week’s E-Brief.
