“Hosting a member of Congress at your business is one of the best ways to make your concerns resonate,” said Shawn McBurney, SAF’s lobbyist and senior director of government relations. “They appreciate the opportunity to learn more about a constituent’s business and meet your employees — especially if they’re up for re-election — and it also helps lawmakers gain exposure in their community and provides your business with media exposure as well.”
