Florists from as far away as Hawaii, California and Arizona are heading to Hartford, Connecticut, this weekend for SAF Retail Growth Solutions (RGS). The 36-hour mini-conference gets underway Sunday, June 7, with a two-hour look at today’s mobile marketplace from retail strategist Jim Dion of Dionco Inc.: “The On-Demand Economy: Mobile Customers Want it Now — Are You Ready?”
Kaitlin Radebaugh of Radebaugh Florist & Greenhouses in Towson, Maryland, urges fellow florists to attend Retail Growth Solutions.
During Dion’s opening session, florists will find out what goes into an effective mobile strategy, how other companies are successfully implementing their strategies, and the impact of mobile on the future of retailing. They’ll also spend time brainstorming opportunities during an interactive talkback session with Dion and other retail floral shop owners.
Four more educational sessions — on profitable parties, e-commerce, sales tactics and finding hidden profits within the retail floral business — plus a supplier showcase and networking time fill out the fast-paced agenda.
While RGS is designed to bring top-quality SAF educational programs to florists at the local level, members such as Kaitlin Radebaugh of Radebaugh Florist & Greenhouses in Towson, Maryland, don’t think twice about hopping on a plane to take advantage of the unique program. “I flew to Texas for RGS … and I left with my head filled with ideas for my business,” she said.
Convinced that RGS provides information and insight critical to every florist, Radebaugh even made a video describing her experience. “You owe it to yourself, and your business, to attend Retail Growth Solutions,” Radebaugh said. You can still register for RGS online, or register on-site at the conference hotel.
