There’s a lot of attention heaped on graduates this time of year (and deservedly so), but let’s not forget those patient souls — teachers — who helped mold their young minds.
Concord Flower Shop encourages customers to thank teachers with a cute bud vase.

That’s the message Helen Halloran is sharing with residents of Concord, Mass
Earlier this week, Halloran, who co-owns Concord Flower Shop with her husband, Dave, posted a photo on Facebook showing a bud vase and a mini chalkboard with a caption that read, “Teacher Thank You Gifts! Did your child’s teacher make the grade this year?”
For years, the shop has stocked grab and go bouquets for customers who wanted to show their appreciation at the end of the school year with something other than the proverbial apple. But when Halloran saw the mini chalkboards in her wholesaler’s catalog, which one could easily picture at many a shabby chic wedding, she immediately thought of educators and promoting gifts specifically with them in mind.
Along with the bud vases, she’s also selling 4-inch potted plants, suggesting a mini chalkboard as an irresistible add-on gift.
