
Anne Stewart, a longtime sales and marketing executive and former president of North America operations for Smithers-Oasis, recently closed out a nearly 48-year career marked by people-centered leadership and cross-industry perspective.
Stewart, who also held senior leadership roles at Sherwin-Williams, helped guide teams through periods of growth and disruption and change, earning a reputation for thoughtful leadership rooted in listening, patience and trust. During her tenure in the floral industry, she also became a familiar voice within the Society of American Florists, serving on SAF’s Board of Directors where she contributed to strategic conversations during pivotal moments for the industry.
As Stewart steps into retirement, she reflects on the leadership lessons that shaped her career—from learning to balance results with empathy to embracing unexpected opportunities and mentoring the next generation.
