Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let up your golden hair.

Flowers as hair accessories have grown increasingly popular, thanks to high-profile plugs including Beyoncé’s headdress on the cover of Vogue’s iconic September issue and the Rodarte runway show earlier this month at New York Fashion Week.

The latest iteration, “Flower Vase Hair,” features a sky-high, Dr. Seuss-approved updo —topped with blossoms, of course. Taylor R, a Canadian blogger living in Hong Kong, started the trend by posting a few photos of her gravity-defying tresses holding a real bouquet of flowers. In the caption, she wrote, “Be truly ground breaking this fall.. wear florals ?”

The post got more than 45,800 likes, many queries from media sources including “The Today Show” and hundreds of “how’d you do that?” comments.

The trick? Wrap hair around an empty plastic water bottle, using several elastics to secure “the vase” and to create an undulating shape. After tucking the ends into the top of the open bottle, simply insert some flowers. (Feel free to pass on the tips for fashion forward high schoolers preparing for homecoming!)
