Another year of the “Stems Hunger” food drives in Pennsylvania and Ohio, another ton of non-perishable food collected.
Sister companies Royer’s Flowers & Gifts and Stephenson’s Flowers & Gifts, in central and eastern Pennsylvania, and Connells Maple Lee Flowers & Gifts near Columbus, Ohio, held their annual food drives June 18-July 2.
They collected 2,219 pounds of food, bringing the event’s six-year total to 12,499 pounds.
The food drives benefit the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and the Greater Berks Food Bank in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
Based in Lebanon, Royer’s has 15 stores in Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties in Pennsylvania. Stephenson’s has one store in Harrisburg, Pa. Connells Maple Lee has three Ohio stores, in Bexley, Grove City and Powell.
