Society of American Florists – AI Chatbot Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Society of American Florists (“SAF,” “we,” “our,” “us”) AI chatbot (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
3. Service Description
The Service delivers AI-generated answers focused on the floral industry for SAF members and other professionals. The information is for general guidance only. You remain responsible for verifying its accuracy and suitability before acting.
4. Fees and Access
Access is offered on a paid basis. All fees are charged in advance, are non-refundable unless required by law, and are detailed at the point of purchase. SAF may suspend or terminate access for non-payment.
5. User Conduct
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe SAF’s rights or the rights of others. The Service does not allow user-generated content uploads.
6. Intellectual Property
All content generated by the Service and all underlying technology are owned by SAF or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, SAF grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your professional needs within the floral industry.
7. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided “as is.” SAF makes no warranties, express or implied, about its accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- SAF strives to ensure useful responses, but AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You must exercise your own judgment before relying on any answer.
- The Service does not provide legal, financial, medical, or tax advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, SAF’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to SAF for the Service in the last 12 months. SAF will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
9. Data Protection (GDPR)
SAF will process any personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection laws. A separate Privacy Policy (to be published) will explain what personal data we collect and how we use it. By using the Service, you consent to that processing.
10. Suspension or Termination
SAF may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or to comply with legal obligations.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes become effective 30 days after posting. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alexandria, Virginia.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SAF regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements on this subject.
