We are seeking a talented, passionate and dynamic Floral Creative Director to join our team of design professionals. The Floral Creative Director will work with key staff to create the style and look for the company’s floral and plants, including fresh and silk products. The ideal candidate will be visionary, naturally creative, have previous experience as a florist or senior floral designer, and be up to date on current trends. Experience in designing and executing large weddings and events, as well as everyday floral, is required. Leadership and the ability to manage a team is necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of design professionals to create exceptional work.
• Collaborate with events manager and other key personnel to set the tone, look, and feel for large events.
• Create a “collection” of fresh floral arrangements for release by the company at least four times a year.
• Create seasonal and holiday floral and plant specials periodically throughout the year.
• Work with the floral operations manager to ensure ordering of appropriate flowers and plants.
• Liaise with clients to understand their ideas, designs and visions of their special event.
• Understand and know the seasonal availability of flowers and plants.
• Create and develop innovative designs that can be duplicated by team members.
• Assist with set-up of events to ensure client satisfaction.
• Assist with training staff on proper design technique and trends.
• Assist with store merchandising and display of products, including floral, plants and hard goods.
Professional Requirements:
• Associates degree or above in a related field such as Art or Design, or 3-5 years’ experience in the floral industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong ability to work well with a team of creatives.
• Demonstrated talent.
