What You’ll Do: As our Executive Director, you’ll be at the helm of CalFlowers, shaping its strategic direction and championing its mission. Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-thinking strategic plan that positions CalFlowers as an industry leader.
Industry Advocacy: Represent CalFlowers at key trade shows, conventions, and events, while advocating for the floral industry with policymakers and stakeholders.
Membership Growth: Build engagement and grow our member base by delivering value-driven programs and services.
Campaign Leadership: Lead the “That Flower Feeling” campaign, overseeing marketing initiatives, fundraising efforts, and donor engagement.
Financial Management: Ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability through effective budget oversight and innovative funding strategies.
Team Empowerment: Manage and inspire a talented remote and on-site team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Program Innovation: Plan and execute impactful events, educational programs, and initiatives that drive member value and industry growth.
Travel & Representation: Be the face of CalFlowers across the U.S. and internationally, engaging with members and industry leaders to enhance organizational visibility.
What We’re Looking For: We’re searching for a dynamic leader with:

Proven Experience: Leadership preferably in a nonprofit, association, or related field.
Strategic Vision: The ability to address industry trends and position CalFlowers as a trailblazer.
Financial Acumen: Expertise in managing budgets and securing funding opportunities.
Marketing Prowess: Experience in overseeing national campaigns and engaging diverse audiences.
Industry Expertise: A passion for flowers and familiarity with the floral industry is a big plus.
People Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.
Adaptability: Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S. and overseas.
