This year they collected 1,881 pounds of food, bringing the event’s seven-year total to 14,380 pounds. The food drives benefit the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and the Greater Berks Food Bank in Pennsylvania and Neighborhood Services Inc., which operates the Choice Food Pantry in Columbus, Ohio.

Based in Lebanon, Royer’s (royers.com) has 15 stores in Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties in Pennsylvania. Stephenson’s (stephensonsflowers.com) has one store in Harrisburg, Pa. Connells Maple Lee (cmlflowers.com) has three Ohio stores, in Bexley, Grove City and Powell.
