Floral professionals love to talk about their businesses, designs and educate their peers and consumers about the benefits of flowers. Sound like you? If so, the Professional Floral Communicators-International (PFCI) invites you to apply for certification and be recognized for your commentating and presentation skills.

PFCI is the service mark of the floral industry’s finest floral educators. Each member of the organization has proven, through their education and experience, their ability to speak authoritatively about topics pertinent to the floral industry.

PFCI membership offers leadership opportunities and helps members get hired as speakers, plus, the PFCI credential signifies your expertise to your peers and customers.

“To be recognized among the very best in the floral industry as a commentator and ambassador has been a lifelong dream,” says Jacob McCall, who was inducted to PFCI last year. “The PFCI designation is the stamp of approval for stage, screen, and virtual designers!”

Ready to apply? Fill out an application by March 1. (See who earned the PFCI credential last year).

Tommy Bright Award

The Society of American Florists is also accepting applications for the Tommy Bright Award, PFCI’s most prestigious award that signifies a lifetime achievement in floral presentation. The deadline to submit an application for PFCI or nomination for the Tommy Bright Award is March 1.

The Tommy Bright Award, presented in honor of Ethel “Tommy” Bright, is awarded annually to a member of the Professional Floral Communicators-International. Click here for more information on nominating a PFCI member for the award. (Read about last year’s Tommy Bright Award recipient).
